HomeRoofing Company in Live Oak, TX

Live Oak’s neighborhoods went up mostly in the 1970s through the 1990s, which makes it one of the most replacement-ready cities in the metro: many roofs here are on their second or third cover, and some originals are simply done. Add the mature oak canopy — beautiful, but hard on shingles — and Live Oak roofs deserve a proper professional look, not a drive-by quote.

What Trees Do to Roofs

Those big oaks drop limbs in windstorms, grind granules off shingles wherever branches touch, and keep shaded slopes damp enough to grow algae and lift edges. Our inspections pay special attention to tree-adjacent slopes, and our repair crews fix the damage properly — including decking, not just the visible shingle.

Second-Roof Problems Need First-Rate Answers

When a roof has been replaced before — sometimes over the original layer — the quality of that past work determines what happens next. We check decking condition, ventilation, and flashing workmanship before quoting anything, and we show you photos of what we find. If you need a full replacement, you’ll get Good / Better / Best / Metal pricing in writing with financing available; if a repair honestly solves it, that’s what we’ll say.

Serving all of Live Oak plus neighboring Universal City, Selma, and Converse. Free inspection: (830) 251-2034.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you put new shingles over my existing roof in Live Oak?
We can, but we rarely recommend it. Many Live Oak roofs from the 1970s–90s are already on a second layer, and a third isn’t allowed. Layering over old shingles also hides bad decking and voids most shingle warranties. A full tear-off costs a little more up front and gives you a roof that lasts, with decking you’ve seen in photos.
The oaks over my house are dropping limbs and staining the shingles. What should I do?
Trim branches back to at least six feet from the roof surface, and have us check the tree-adjacent slopes. Shaded, damp slopes grow algae and lose granules where limbs rub. Those spots are where we find most Live Oak leaks. Algae-resistant shingles are a smart choice at replacement time under a heavy canopy.
Do you serve all of Live Oak, and how quickly can you get here?
All of it — from the neighborhoods off Pat Booker Road to the ones along Loop 1604 and Toepperwein — plus Universal City, Selma, and Converse next door. We run crews on the Northeast side constantly, so inspections are usually scheduled within days and active leaks get priority.
